A total 1351 candidates will contest elections across 12 States/UTs in the phase 3 of Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Total 2963 candidates filed their nomination for the phase 3 of the election out of which only 1563 nominations were found valid, however, 211 candidates withdrew the nomination, and since Mukesh Dalal a BJP candidate won unopposed from Surat constituency in Gujarat, leaving only 1351 candidate to contest. Jyotiraditya Scindia: The Royals of Gwalior and sitting Civil Aviation Minister will contest from the dynastical seat of Scindia in Guna as BJP candidate. Ironically he lost this seat in 2019 Lok Sabha election to BJP candidate KP Yadav while he was in Congress. This time he will contest as BJP candidate against Rao Yadvendra Yadav of Congress. Guna has been a fortress of Scindia’s, Joytiranditya Scindia was the first Scindia to lose the seat.
