Total 2963 candidates filed their nomination for the phase 3 of the election out of which only 1563 nominations were found valid, however, 211 candidates withdrew the nomination, and since Mukesh Dalal a BJP candidate won unopposed from Surat constituency in Gujarat, leaving only 1351 candidate to contest.
